Ayurveda

Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, originating in India over 3,000 years ago. Rooted in natural principles, Ayurveda focuses on achieving a balanced state of body, mind, and spirit rather than merely treating symptoms. The term itself comes from Sanskrit, where “Ayur” means life and “Veda” means knowledge, translating to “the science of life.”

At the core of Ayurveda lies the concept of the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. These biological energies are believed to govern all physical and mental processes in the body. Each individual has a unique constitution, or “Prakriti,” determined by the balance of these doshas. When the doshas are in harmony, a person experiences good health. However, imbalance can lead to illness and discomfort. Ayurvedic treatments aim to restore this balance through personalized lifestyle changes, diet, herbal remedies, and detoxification techniques.
